U-shaped screw conveyor

U-shaped screw conveyor is a type of screw conveyor, manufactured according to the DIN15261-1986 standard, and designed in accordance with the JB/T7679-2008 standard for screw conveyors. U-shaped screw conveyors are widely used in departments such as grain, chemical, building materials, metallurgy, mining, and power, mainly for conveying small particles, powders, and small pieces of materials. Not suitable for conveying materials that are prone to spoilage, high viscosity, clumping, and high moisture content.

The U-shaped screw conveyor is designed and manufactured according to the JB/T679-95 standard for screw conveyors, and is a replacement product of the GX type screw conveyor. Spiral conveyor, commonly known as twisted dragon, is a widely used conveying equipment in the mineral, feed, grain and oil, and construction industries. From the perspective of conveying material displacement direction, spiral conveyor can be divided into two types: horizontal spiral conveyor and vertical spiral conveyor. It is mainly used for horizontal conveying and vertical lifting of various loose materials such as powder, granular, and small pieces. Spiral conveyors are all made of steel and are used to transport chemical and building materials products such as powders or solid particles with high temperatures. The interior of the screw conveyor has a conveying pipe, and the blades are welded in a spiral shape on the conveying pipe.

Classified by the driving mode of the screw conveyor:

1. When the length of the U-shaped screw conveyor is less than 35m, it is a single axis driven screw.

2. When the length of the U-shaped screw conveyor is greater than 35m, it is a double axis driven screw.

Working principle of U-shaped screw conveyor:

When the screw conveyor is working, the motor drives the rotating screw blades to push the material and transport it. The force that prevents the material from rotating with the screw conveyor blades is the weight of the material itself and the frictional resistance of the screw conveyor shell to the material. The spiral blades welded on the rotating shaft of the screw conveyor have different surface types according to the conveyed materials, such as solid surface, belt surface, and blade surface.

Application scope of U-shaped screw conveyor:

Spiral conveyors are widely used in various industries, such as building materials, chemicals, electricity, metallurgy, coal mine charcoal, grain, etc. They are suitable for horizontal or inclined conveying of powdered, granular, and small materials, such as coal mines, ash, slag, cement, grain, etc., with material temperatures below 200 ℃. Spiral machines are not suitable for conveying materials that are prone to spoilage, high viscosity, and clumping. In concrete mixing plants, the role of screw conveyors is greatly reflected.
