The GX spiral conveyor, commonly known as a twisted dragon, is a widely used conveyor equipment in the mining, feed, grain and oil, and construction industries. From the perspective of material displacement direction, GX type screw conveyors can be divided into two types: horizontal screw conveyors and vertical screw conveyors, mainly used for horizontal conveying and vertical lifting of various loose materials such as powder, granular, and small pieces.

The GX screw conveyor is the main unit for mechanized transportation in various sectors of industry and agriculture, which can reduce labor intensity and improve work efficiency in transportation work, and has a wide range of applications.

The GX spiral conveyor is suitable for conveying various powdered, granular, and small materials, such as flour, coal powder, cement, grains, sand, and various small pieces of coal and stones. Not suitable for conveying materials with high viscosity, easy clumping, and corrosive properties, as well as the requirements of certain process operations. For example, mixing, stirring, etc., the working environment temperature is within the range of -20 ℃~+50 ℃, and the temperature of the conveying material is not much than 200 ℃. It is generally arranged in a horizontal and inclined manner not exceeding 20 ℃. The main characteristics of GX type tubular screw conveyor are simple structure, good technology, good performance, easy installation and maintenance, smooth operation, low noise, good sealing performance, and operation.

The GX spiral conveyor is widely used in the industries of building materials, metallurgy, chemical industry, electricity, coal, machinery, light industry, grain, and food. It is suitable for conveying powdered, granular, and small materials such as cement, coal powder, grain, fertilizer, ash, sand, coke, etc; It is not suitable to transport materials that are prone to spoilage, high viscosity, and clumping. The working environment temperature of GX screw conveyors is usually -20 to 40 ℃, and the temperature of transported materials is generally -20 to 80 ℃. GX screw conveyors are suitable for horizontal and small inclination arrangements, and the inclination angle should not exceed 15 ℃. If there are requirements, design and manufacturing can be negotiated with the manufacturer.

Working principle of GX spiral conveyor:

The GX type screw conveyor uses rotating screws to move the conveyed material along a fixed casing for conveying work. The head and tail bearings are moved outside the casing. The GX type screw conveyor suspension bearings use sliding bearings and are equipped with dust sealing devices. The GX type screw conveyor shaft is generally made of powder metallurgy, and the cement is transported using felt bearings. The suspension shaft and screw shaft are connected by sliders.

The inclination angle of a screw conveyor has an impact on the productivity and power consumption of the conveying process. Generally, it is reflected in the form of an influence coefficient, the inclined conveying coefficient. The conveying capacity of the screw conveyor will decrease with the increase of the inclination angle, and at the same time, the inclination angle when arranging the screw conveyor will also affect the conveying effect of the material. In addition, the size of the tilt angle will also affect the filling coefficient, and its impact on the filling coefficient. The larger the tilt angle, the smaller the allowed filling coefficient, and the lower the conveying capacity of the screw conveyor. Therefore, under the premise of meeting the usage conditions, the screw conveyor should avoid inclined layout as much as possible and adopt horizontal layout; If the process requires inclined arrangement, in order to improve conveying efficiency, the inclined angle should not be too large, usually 10-20 °. If the requirements cannot be met, a multi-level inclined arrangement can be adopted to reduce losses.

The driving power of a screw conveyor is the energy consumed to overcome various resistances during material transportation, mainly including the following parts: (1) the energy required to raise the height H (horizontal or inclined) of the transported material; (2) The energy consumption caused by the friction between the material being transported and the groove wall and spiral surface; (3) The energy consumption caused by the mutual friction between particles inside the material; (4) The energy consumption caused by friction at the thrust bearing due to the movement of materials along the material groove; (5) The energy consumption caused by friction between the intermediate bearing and the end bearing. From another perspective, it can also be divided into: the power consumed by the friction between the material and the material trough; The power consumed by friction between materials and spiral blades; The power consumed by friction at the bearing; Improve the power consumption of materials and the mutual movement between material particles.
